TV Show: I Can See Your Voice (2015 - ongoing)

This show that has been adapted by other countries is really interesting to watch. This is the show for all the tone-deaf where they can get a chance to be on the stage and show what they got. 

In each episode, there will be one guest star (or a group) who are a top star singers or famous idols in Korea who will guess out of all the contestants which one that knows how to sing. There will be around six to seven contestants that can be chosen. The chosen one will be singing together with the guest star at the end of the show. The twist is out of all contestants, there might be only one or two persons who can sing. The rest will be tone-deaf. So the guest star needs to choose carefully.  

The guest star needs to "get rid" of all the tone-deaf so they can have a wonderful ending stage, while the tone-deaf will "fool" the guest star to be chosen. If this tone-deaf is chosen as the final contestant, they will get five million Won. If the chosen one is the one who can sing, they will get a chance to record a song professionally. 

Other than the guest star and the contestants, there are a few other celebs as the panelists who will help the guest star to choose wisely. They're like a detective. They can give their own thoughts about each contestant. It can be helpful but it can also be not. 

This show format is pretty simple. Divided into three rounds. The first round is Singer's Visual where the guest star can guess only based on the contestant appearance. There will be two contestants that will get eliminated in this round. Right after they got eliminated, they will show their real singing ability in front of everyone.

The second round is Singer's Lip Sync. Here the rest of the contestants will do a lipsync to a song they've chosen. The song that is presented by the tone-deaf will be sung by two different people -- a random hired singer and the tone-deaf. The song that is presented by a contestant who knows how to sing, it will be sung fully by the contestant themselves. There will be another two contestants that will be eliminated here.

The last round is Singer's Proof. The contestants will provide some "proof" about their real-life that shows their singing ability. Why "proof"? Because it is very possible if it's a fake one. Again, the tone-deaf will try to trick the guest star. There will be a time for the guest star to have a conversation or asked some questions to panelists to help the decision. In the end, there will only be one final chosen contestant. Whatever the result is, the guest star needs to accept the fate of the ending stage.

I can see why this show is really popular that it's adapted by so many countries all over the world. It super fun to watch. It gives me a headache too because I will wonder and guess who is the real singer out of all. If my guess was right I would be super happy like I actually win something. Hahaha. I was so into it.

This is the show that makes Hwang Chi Yeol famous all over Korea in an instant. Well, that's great. Finally, he got the chance to shine through this show.

It is true when people say, "Don't judge a book by its cover." because a lot of the contestants are actually showing a different ability from what they presented. Some of them are looking ordinary but then their singing ability is super awesome that can give you goosebumps. Some others look like an idol or a movie star but the audiences kinda look down on them because they think it'll be too unfair if the contestant also has a good singing ability. There will be contestants who lipsync really well who turned out an ultimate tone-deaf. This is why it's so fun to watch coz this show is full of surprises.

It's also fun seeing the face of the guest star and panelists when they got so confused or surprised, especially when they chose the wrong person to get eliminated. What a mental breakdown. Hahaha. Their faces are priceless.

The combo of these three MCs is nice. Didn't expect that Kim Bum Soo knows how to emceeing. Haha.
